The vegan cake is from Golden West:) The only places I've found with vegan goodies are GW, One World Cafe, Yabba Pot, and Emma's Cafe. xo

Thank you (and you're welcome), Corinne! I came back here after reading your comment. If you're already on the home stretch with your manuscript, Writing the Breakout Novel by Donald Maass might be a better choice for you. (I suppose it depends on how long you've been writing.) I LOVE the King book, but it's a slightly odd format. The first half is the story of how he became a writer (fascinating), and the second half is the advice. The advice is great, but on more of an introductory stage. So maybe you should flip through both of them to see which feels more appropriate? I don't know, can't go wrong with either one :) And I've never read Chapter After Chapter, so I looked it up — sounds great! I'll definitely check it out, thanks for the recommendation.

Can you believe I've never seen True Blood? What gives. I have to get on that.

I love independant bookstores. Long may they live. Sigh.
