Yesterday was a blast. I arrived at BookExpo America (BEA) around 10:30 and spent an hour wandering up and down the countless aisles packed with books, publishers, agents, writers, librarians, and retailers. It truly is a holy day for books. Then, I met up with Kris Carr and her Mom, Aura, and we cruised the expo together until Kris’ signing.

There was a constant flow of people waiting to meet her for the entire hour. During that time, I had the chance to catch up with the dynamic powerhouse of a eco-vegan web-activist-writer, Michael Parrish DuDell (Ecorazzi, VegDaily). He says that he sleeps six hours a night, but I don’t buy it. Keep your eye on this guy!
After BEA, I had the chance to catch up with two of my favorite peeps, Kris and Brian. We chatted for a few hours at a cafe and then I headed down to Blossom for a delicious vegan dinner with one of my childhood friends. Days don’t get much better.
