STAY by Allie Larkin

I wasn’t surprised when the buzz around STAY began (it is officially released on June 10th). It’s the kind of book you always hope for–the one you can’t put down. The one you stay up until 5AM reading. STAY took me on an unforgettable journey through one woman’s exploration of family, love, and companionship. Every time our heroine Van falters, she brushes herself off and carries on with her head held high, making you root for her even more. As I rationed out the pages of STAY, trying to make the first read last as long as possible, Van and her dog Joe came to life and filled my heart. Returning to its pages was like visiting a dear friend. Even if you’re not a dog lover, you’ll connect with this entertaining and touching adventure, especially if you’ve found joy and love through your darkest moments and come out on the other side as a stronger and wiser person. Check out the book trailer!

How terrific that you’re running this contest! Please count me in. Stay sounds like a great book, and I’ll look for it. I hadn’t heard of it so that was a good way to (also) get the word out. You smart people, you! Anyway, I do have a manuscript and query that I’d love critiqued. It’s harder to write than the book!

I’m very proud of Allie and, as a fellow writer, can say that writing really is a tough thing to do, so, all in all, congrats!

Count me in the contest, too. :D

Liz and I would love to enter this contest. We’ve been in “query hell” for a while now and would love to hear some feedback on our one-page labor of love. Please consider us. And know that we’re not above begging, pleading or offering bribes.

I don’t normally enter contests but this one is a perfect fit for me. I just finished writing my first book. It is about my journey from a recreational bike racer to racing on the Canadian National Cylco-Cross Team at the World Cyclo-Cross Championships in Tabor, Czech Republic at the age of 37. I would love to get some feedback on my book.

I am the author of a serious young women’s fiction full of humor in the pop culture. It would be wonderful to have you view and critique my query. You may find the manuscript is that connection to the heart that is so desired right now.

Thank you for reading this,
Carlos

Am currently reading Stay and loving it. And might be just horrible jealous, as well. Do I still get an entry if I admit I’m jealous?

I use to sit in front of my computer and say, “Now you’re finished with your first manuscript, have to simply edit the second, and have an outline for the third as well as the first three chapters. What are you putting this query off for? Do you really want to wait until you have twenty manuscripts collecting dust under the bed?”
The simple truth, I had no idea how to write one. I mean, summing up an 85,000 word novel in one page is intimidating to say the least, but now I think I can tackle this thing with a little more confidence. It’s all thanks to the posts on “Stay”, which sounds like an AWESOME book.
Of course, even though I have more confidence, it doesn’t mean I can’t use the help. I desperately need it, so count me in on the contest as well, and have a great weekend everyone.
