The Hipstamatic iPhone App has woken up my creative spirit today. Within a few minutes of downloading the app, after reading about it at dooce, a dreary & rainy Tuesday turned into a snap happy post-work photo session with Thomas. I feel inspired to write, which leads me to realize once again how important it is to nurture creative sources other than writing.
My lovely writer friend, Allie, recently gave me a little pep talk. I was feeling down about not writing as often as I would have liked over the past week. She reminded me that books, film and whatever else stokes your creative fancy are also valuable ways to spend your time as a writer. I’m absolutely obsessed with the tv show Fringe right now (created by the geniuses behind Lost). I can’t stop thinking about the characters. I’m lost in their world and I love it. Speaking of Lost, it’s on tonight!
